(Pink Sheets:AUGR), a technology innovator providing library automation solutions for over 36 years, and ChiliFresh Enterprises, Inc., the industry leader in Web 2.0 functionality, today announced a technology collaboration to more flexibly integrate ChiliFresh’s Review Engine into the AGentâ„¢ suite of library automation solutions and other library systems. The two companies worked together to develop a Web Services application that allows libraries to adapt integrated ChiliFresh content into a customized results set display. Previously, subscribing libraries were limited to a standard display of book reviews; with the development of the new Web Services application, libraries have the ability to present book reviews and ChiliFresh content through their OPAC in whatever manner best suits their needs.

Summary The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK) has contracted with Index Data to implement the first phase of a substantial re-engineering of their discovery services platform. Taking advantage of Index Data’s advanced metasearch technologies and modular, tool-oriented software platform, OhioLINK will work together with Index Data to implement its MasterKey suite of technologies. The new discovery service, which will be deployed this fall, is the first phase in an extensive re-implementation of the services now offered by OhioLINK, including the harvesting and indexing of information resources, both commercial and public.

SANTA FE, N.M., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ — Deep Web Technologies is proud to announce development of a prototype of a multilingual translation capability for clients using its federated search applications. An early prototype of multilingual searching was demonstrated to the members of the WorldWideScience Alliance in June of 2009. This new feature, when fully developed and implemented, will translate a user’s search query into the native language of the collections being searched, will translate result titles and snippets back to the user’s original language and aggregate and rank these results according to relevance. The translation process will be seamless, making it simple to search collections in multiple languages from a single search box in the native language of the user.

Summary Serials Solutions announced that University of Huddersfield is the site of the first commercial adoption of the Summon web-scale discovery service in the UK. The university library will use the service to enable single-search access to its collections, by integrating searches of online databases, along with the local catalogue, Repository and archival collections.
