Summary: Dartmouth College Library marks a worldwide milestone with the launch of an open beta of the Summon™ web-scale discovery service, a groundbreaking, Google-like search of the full breadth of content found in library collections. In addition to librarians, the Summon™ service is now being used by students and faculty at Dartmouth College, enabling them to search the contents of the library – physical and digital – from a single search box. The Summon™ service has been developed by Serials Solutions, a business unit of ProQuest.

SANTA FE, N.M., June 12, 2009 — Abe Lederman, President and CTO of Deep Web Technologies, will speak to the Science and Technology communities at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) centennial conference in Washington, DC, this June 2009. His contributed paper, “Science Research: Journey to 10,000 Sources,” was among nine proposals selected out of fifty-three submissions. Each paper was evaluated on quality of writing, scope, objectives and innovation.
